Ingredients

  • 3 lb baby back ribs
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup no-added-sugar BBQ sauce divided

Method

  1. Remove the thin membrane from the bone side of the ribs.
  2. Cut the rack into sections that fit comfortably inside your slow cooker.
  3. Mix smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and chili powder.
  4. Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
  5. Add apple cider vinegar and Worcestershire sauce to the bottom of the slow cooker.
  6. Arrange the ribs inside and brush them with ½ cup of BBQ sauce.
  7. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours, until tender.
  8. Carefully transfer the cooked ribs to a baking sheet.
  9. Brush with the remaining BBQ sauce.
  10. Broil for 2–4 minutes until the edges are browned and slightly sticky.

Notes

Watch the ribs closely while broiling because no-added-sugar BBQ sauces can darken quickly.
