Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs ground turkey
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for cooking

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, or prepare a skillet for cooking.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Mix gently until all ingredients are combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the meatballs tender.
  4. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1½ inches in diameter.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs for 2–3 minutes per side, or place them directly on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 18–22 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. Garnish with extra Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley before serving.
