Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb flank steak or sirloin thinly sliced
  • ½ cup tamari or low-sodium soy sauce
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup keto brown sweetener
  • tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • ½ tsp xanthan gum
  • 4 green onions sliced
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Method
 

  1. Slice the beef thinly across the grain.
  2. Add the beef to the slow cooker.
  3. Whisk together tamari, water, keto brown sweetener, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.
  4. Pour the mixture over the beef.
  5. Stir gently to coat.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for about 4 hours.
  7. Check the beef for tenderness.
  8. Gradually stir in the xanthan gum.
  9. Cook for another 10 minutes.
  10. Garnish with green onions and toasted sesame seeds immediately before serving.

Notes

Add the sesame seeds at the end so they keep their toasted flavor and texture.
