Method
- Season the chuck roast with salt and black pepper.
- Heat avocado oil in a skillet and brown the beef on both sides if desired.
- Transfer the roast to the slow cooker.
- Add beef broth, balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, rosemary and thyme.
- Cover and cook on LOW for about 8 hours.
- When the roast is fork-tender, shred or slice the beef.
- For a stronger sauce, remove the beef and reduce the excess cooking liquid before serving.
