- In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, cumin, chili powder, chipotle powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over the brisket.
- Pour beef broth into the slow cooker and stir in the tomato paste and minced garlic.
- Place the seasoned brisket into the slow cooker and turn it once so that it is lightly coated with the cooking mixture.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 8–10 hours, or until the brisket is very tender.
- Remove the brisket from the slow cooker.
- Allow it to rest for about 15 minutes.
- Slice the brisket across the grain or shred it with two forks.
- Stir the lime juice into the cooking sauce and spoon the sauce over the brisket before serving.
Notes
